Advert analysis.

Coca Cola Christmas advertisement 2011.

Watching this advert on youtube, i noticed that the adverts values are to bring everybody together at Christmas, as the Coca Cola lorry moves along it grabs the people's attention, not only children, but whole families, couples, males and females and the older and younger generations. so it's not focusing particularly on one gender or age group, but everybody to bring society closer.

The values of the brand brings people joy with both the music, festivity and happiness on the people's faces in the advert because of the coca cola lorry and the drink.

The advert comes across as "you can't have a good and magical family time at Christmas without coca cola" convincing people that coca cola is the light of Christmas, this is shown in the advert by the lorry because everything lights up as the lorry passes it, not only Christmas lights but the people's faces and smiles.

The fact that when the lorry passes it causes excitement and happiness to the people in the advert gives the audience the impression that it's coca cola that makes Christmas what it is, because they receive a bottle of cola as the lorry passes them as though coca cola is the best gift for Christmas.

The advert communicates with the audience because of the people in it are representative because it has the children and the adults, the couples young and old. The brand coca cola are trying to come across as generous and cheerful and possibly slightly magical. It doesn't come across as them trying to sell wealth, beauty of sex, it is happiness and joy they are selling which is quite a good USP because of the recession, people are struggling to afford things that make us beautiful or seem wealthy and in a way comes across as happiness is the best medicine.
