Film Assessment.

The intended effect of the semiotics of my film are to be quite realistic within the horror genre, also to entertain to audience and create a sense of fear.
The film is inspired by two films, "4321" and "Hard Candy"

It's inspired by 4321 because of the crime aspect within the film, but not directly, i have taken the thought of gang members instead of "the bad guy" and the fact that there is a girl alone who is "in trouble" which links on nicely to hard candy where the tables turn from the girl being a victim of the "baddy" to the "baddies" being the victims of the girl.

The text fits in with the genre because in horrors there's not always very much dialogue as it ruins the tension which is created by either silence of intense music/sound effects. The audience it is aimed at is people from the age of about 15 - 18.
I think that it is successful because the film is based around the same age group as the target audiences age and relates to things that may happen in everyday life until it gets turned around.
